Relying on Our Rock

Last weekend, our Kids Church Leaders went away to the Blue Mountains to pray for the kids and each other and to plan for our program and ministry for 2026.

Praise God for a refreshing and fruitful time together! We had a time of devotion each day going through the Psalms and were reminded of God’s steadfast love and faithfulness towards his people, and as we lead and disciple kids this year we can rely on God as our rock and refuge and tell our kids that they too can rely on God to be their rock and refuge.

Another wonderful encouragement is that we have 3 new leaders joining this year who have just graduated from City Youth. It’s a great joy for me personally to have met some of them at Kids Church 7 years ago and now to be serving alongside them in growing our kids in the gospel.

Please pray for us, that our heavenly father would help our kids and leaders to be rooted and built up in the gospel and rely on God as our rock and refuge in our lives and ministries.

Pray for our Kids Church leaders

Give thanks for the refreshing and fruitful time away for the Kids Church leaders, for time in God’s word through the Psalms, and for the reminder of God’s steadfast love and faithfulness as our rock and refuge. Ask God for wisdom, unity and endurance for our Kids Church leaders as they plan, pray and serve together, and for joy as new leaders join the team from City Youth. Ask God to help our kids and leaders be rooted and built up in the gospel, to rely on him as their rock and refuge, and to grow in knowing and trusting Jesus.
