THE CATHEDRAL IS OPEN!
We have been monitoring government guidelines, completed a COVID safety plan, and are committed to creating a safe and sanitised environment that meets government recommendations. To make this possible, our Sunday services have been redesigned to create a contactless environment that allows for physical distancing. This includes significantly reduced capacity and adjusted activities.

We are monitoring the situation and will make any necessary changes. We encourage you to make the best choice for you and your situation as you consider attending St John’s or continuing to meet online.
SAFE & SANITISED
The Cathedral, halls and facilities are cleaned and sanitised regularly throughout the week. We aim for a contactless experience and ask all groups not to touch anything other than the chairs they sit on.
When interacting with other guests, we ask that you keep 1.5m social distancing at all times. A Safety Ambassador will be present to gently remind guests of the need to keep their distance.
The NSW government has now made masks mandatory in places of worship. Our staff and volunteers will be wearing masks, and we ask you to bring a mask with you as we will have limited supply at the Cathedral (subject to availability).
There will be no cash offertory received during the service. Please see our GIVE page for contactless options.
Each group will have different requirements for pre-registration. Registration means we will know how many to expect and can limit the number of guests in line with government restrictions. Contact your group leader for details on how to register.
You will be greeted at the door to have your temperature checked, then asked to use the hand sanitiser provided and check in using your smart phone. You will need to scan a QR code, send an SMS or type in a web address on your mobile phone. Check-in teams are available to assist you at every Sunday service.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
You must not attend if:
you have any flu-like symptoms (ie, sore-throat, fever, runny nose, headaches) and/or are feeling unwell.
have been in contact with a person who is COVID positive or waiting on results.
have been overseas or in any government identified “hot-spot” locations in the last 14 days (see below).

For those who have visited “self-isolate and get tested immediately locations” in the last 14 days – do not attend any events at St John’s.
For those who have visited “monitor for symptoms locations” – be extra vigilant regarding even the slightest symptoms and do not attend St John’s this week.
If you have registered for an event, but your situation changes, please do not attend.
